“4/4” viola bows generally refer to full size bows suitable for 14”-17” violas. For other size violas, the following violin bows are compatible, fit in the case, and work very well:

• for 14” violas, use a 4/4 violin bow
• for 13” violas, use a 3/4 violin bow
• for 12” violas, use a 1/2 violin bow
• for 11” violas, use a 1/4 violin bow
